Kitchen Functionality - Know where to store things

The kitchen is the workhorse of most homes. When you really use your kitchen, you typically end up with LOTS of cooking gear and equipment, not to mention all the drinkware and dishes. The truth is we usually have quite a few items that we rarely use, if ever, but we just can't seem to part with them. Well, we MAY use them down the road. LOL

If you find yourself in this boat, my advice is to make sure that those items that are rarely used are taking up their residence somewhere well out of the way. Think cabinet above the fridge, back of the base cupboard, or better yet, on a shelf in the garage. The very last place these items shoud be is at your fingertips. You want that precious nearby real estate devoted to the things you use all the time, not grandma's muffin tin.
