The Giving Box for Kids - The art of letting go gracefully

It can be a challenge to get kids to let go of their toys or things they don't really use anymore. It's important to teach kids that it's good to let go of things they don't really use anymore - even better to give their old stuff to other kids who may not be as blessed. A fun way to encourage this is by keeping a box in their room called their Giving Box. Whenever they fill it up with items they no longer want, they can earn rewards or points toward rewards. It's a win-win!

To take it a step further, take them along so they can personally gift or donate their items to others or organizations who will pass them along to those who could use them. Teaching kids generosity of spirit is a gift that keeps on giving!
